Privacy Policy

Extension version 0.2.0 · Updated October 12, 2026

Nordic Job Signal analyzes job-posting wording locally in your browser. It does not transmit job content, use AI services, run analytics, or operate a backend.

Information processed

Scan this job reads the selected page's job text, title and URL, including safely associated collapsed sections already in the DOM. Manual results exist in side-panel memory and disappear when it closes.

Optional Auto Scan on LinkedIn is ON by default when no preference has been saved. Automatic scanning requires a one-time LinkedIn permission grant through Settings & help; without it, only manual scanning is available. Saved OFF choices are respected. When enabled with site permission, it observes LinkedIn page changes, reads the description opened through normal navigation, and displays signals and original quotations on the page and in the open side panel. The panel requests only the active tab’s current verified snapshot; it does not store a job history. It does not fetch unopened jobs, click expansion controls, read cookies, or bypass access restrictions.

Only the `autoScan` ON/OFF preference is saved to local extension storage. No job description, URL or browsing history is written to persistent or session storage. For change detection, the current extracted text is held in content-script memory. Up to 40 analysis snapshots, including job IDs and supporting quotations, may remain in the current tab document's memory. Reloading/closing the document or turning Auto Scan OFF clears these snapshots. A suspended/back-forward cached document can remain in browser memory until the browser discards it; the extension clears its state on pagehide.

Collection and sharing

The extension makes no network requests. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking, external servers, databases or AI APIs. It does not sell or share page content. Normal browser and website networking, history and memory management are outside its control. Inline signals are inserted into the page for display; do not treat displayed evidence as secret from the page itself.

Permissions

No unrestricted host access, tabs permission, remote code or web-accessible resources are requested. A small background service worker reconciles the saved preference and granted permission; it does not receive job text.

Your control

Turn Auto Scan OFF in the side panel to stop observers, remove inline UI, clear snapshots, unregister future automatic injection and remove optional LinkedIn access. Manual scans remain available. Chrome also lets you revoke site access, disable or remove the extension. If revocation terminates the running script before cleanup, reload the tab to remove its old UI. Removal clears the saved preference.

Scope and publisher details

This is a wording-reading aid for jobs in Sweden, not legal or immigration advice.
